Finished Reading Outliers
I couldn’t stop reading it, it has changed my thoughts and has gave me a new found desire and hope.
Malcolm Gladwell has really hit on something and has another hit on his hands.
I really don’t wish to give you a good summary of his book because you really need to read the book for yourself, and I know that my summary would never do the justice it deserves.
Here are some brief notes;
We talked before about it, that the school isn’t them most important element it is what you as an individual choose to get out of it and what you choose to do with it. Malcolm talks about genius and shows proof that if the school mattered Harvard University would be the only school receiving Nobel Prizes because they try and pick the brightest and the best.(Yes I believe it is a great honor to attend Harvard University and the school produces/instills greatness)
Malcolm explains about IQ and after a certain point a genius is a genius.
Malcolm talks about the three things that work or school meaningful
Autonomy, Complexity, and a Connection between Effort and Reward.
He talks about 10 years or 10,000 hours becoming a master, in some of the same ways Anthony Robbins did in “Awaken the Giant” another great book about changing your beliefs.
In the beginning of the book he talks about things happening, like being born at a certain time for things to happen a person life.
I for one am going to put things into motion for Success and I urge that you to read these book and start your change your life today.
Outliers continued
Page 183, Three quarters of the book finished, some of the same lines I talked about before about it not which school that you go to, but what you get out of it and what you do with it.
I will summarize the book when I finish it today
