Living consciousness
“Living consciousness somehow is the influence that turns the possibility of something into something real. The most essential ingredient in creating our universe is the consciousness that observes it.”
“The realization that ones own mind has the ability to affect the physical world.”
I know the book The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown is fiction, yet I read a passage yesterday, that makes my brain start in motion and go hmm.
I have been up since 6:30 a.m. waiting to see if they would be sending me out on a trip.
Working on my notes for school, I took a break to get some juice and scheduling called around 1:10 p.m. giving me a 3 day trip. Deadhead to Las Vegas sit for 3 hours and then fly to Charlotte North Carolina, I get into Charlotte at 6:00 a.m. layover for 11 hours fly to San Diego California, layover there for 9 hours.
There won’t be a lot of study time but if all goes well I will be released at 8 a.m on Thursday. I could then get some good studying that day and pick up a nice 2 day for Friday and Saturday.
But we shall see, start setting my living consciousness in motion.
My 60th and Google’s 11th
Taking a break from studying, let me tell you tough! reading, taking notes, and preparing for my Test on the 24th, crazy.
It is going good, slow but good, learning to learn all over again keeps throwing new challenges my way.
So today is my 60th post and Google turns 11 today and with that I feel as the title of the new TV show “Men of a Certain Age,” that is how I feel today too, of a certain age.
It has been a beautiful day here in sunny Burlingame, I got up and enjoyed the morning. Set out my study material and got busy. Taking breaks going for a few walks and doing laundry.
I understand what Anthony Robbins talks about breaking old patterns in his book Awaken the Giant Within, that if you change a pattern or break a pattern immediately, you should replace it with an empowering process. Otherwise you can and usually do go right back to where you were.
I felt myself slipping this morning letting outside influences take control of my life. So I made a conscious change and while I am thinking about it I think I will read a little from the book tonight.
So much to read, and study I need a month straight, time off to read, exercise an meditate/focus. Hmm I wonder I’ll have to get back with you on that one.
Today I have been working on Human Resource Management taking notes wish I could type faster I could have more done.
Well that was pretty much my day, and counting down till the 24th and my test.
A little motivational reading tonight.
New Thought Process
I rested last night, and got some great sleep. It is amazing what a good night sleep will do to you.
Got up this morning went and got the tire on Mari’s car fixed, Discount Tire/American Tire in California is by far the best tire store. They fixed the car tire for FREE, yes thats right FREE. Nobody does that any more.
I will always buy my tires from them, my truck got it new shoes from there, and with the warranty they will fix replace and rotate my tires for FREE for the life of the tires. So please visit them if you need tires.
Started my morning off great. Changing my thoughts, attitude and direction of my life.
After I took a drive to a place that fixed Apple computers, they told me of a place that had old computers and weird things, WeirdStuff. Amazing, I really have never seen so much stuff , I got lost in that building.
After wandering, I found things but I refrained from buying too many things. But I did find a Technics CD player that match my other Technics equipment;
Compact Disc Player SL-P220 (found)
Automatic Turntable System SL-BD22
Stereo Integrated Amplifier SU-V85A
Auto Reverse Double Cassette Deck RS-T330R
Quartz Synthesizer AM/FM Stereo Tuner ST-600
A complete set cool from the late 1980′s when Technics made great equipment, now I think Panasonic owns the brand. I starting digging in boxes of remotes hoping I might find the one that goes with the CD player. Got it at the bottom of one of the boxes, WOW. I also found a DVD Player for my old Apple G4 Tower that I have been looking for a long time.
Now both these items I have always wanted at the time when I brought the other items I wished that I could have brought them but could never afford them.
So with my mind in a better place, I brought into my existence things I have wanted, and better yet the CD player was $10 and the DVD for my computer $8. Now I am really amazed and so was my wallet.
But I have to say focus, intention has worked for me before, like this laptop, I really really wanted this one. I settled for another one but in the end I got the one I wanted by talking to Apple and clearly having in my mind what I wanted.
So I know that what I talked about yesterday can happen, I have to use my mind.
Now I am telling you all this because getting lost today, and things happening I feel great!!! Not at all stressed and tomorrow I will be studying moving forward with my life. I can’t wait to hit the books.
I need to make a list, a plan and look at it everyday. I know that my studying will go easy from now on because that is the way I want, not what others want for me.
Its late and I want another good night sleep.
Mind over Matter
It is strange where you find motivation, inspiration, I was reading Dan Brown new book The Lost Symbol so far a good read.
But I have been stressing as of late because of feeling overloaded. Today flying home from Phoenix after a really long day. I was suppose to finished early my one leg from Orange County. But I got tagged to do a Mazatlan, Mexico turn/flight. Though it was an easy flight each way it meant that instead of being home at noon I wouldn’t be home till 8:00 p.m.
Eight hours later than I would have liked and loads more stressed. I been planning on studying most of the day on Friday, that didn’t happen.
On the flight home I was reading Dan Brown’s book, and it touched thoughts I haven’t had in a long while.
From the book “Our thoughts actually interact with the physical world, whether or not we know it, effecting change all the way down to the subatomic realm.”
“That focused thought could affect literally anything, the growth rate of plants, chemical reactions in one’s own body and even more.”
“Human thoughts can literally transform the physical world.”
“The mind has the ability to alter the state of matter itself, and, more important the mind has the power to encourage the physical world to move in a specific direction.”
“We are the Masters of our own Universe.”
“We can augment it even further through practice, Intention is a learned skill that can used to focus even more.”
It is a few quotes from the book but it has got me thinking that I have been making my own reality, my own stress and my own pain. Allowing others to control my life, my direction and taking things (outside influences) personally.
I have been caught up in this and it has done the snowball effect on me, keeps getting bigger and harder to move. Once my mind had starting going that way the momentum has been hard to stop and change, but reading chapter 15 has jolted me. The hard knock I needed to change the old pattern.
But tomorrow I am changing the direction. Start reprograming my mind.
Studying Organizational Behavior
I spent the morning reading Organizational Behavior by Kreitner and Kinicki, Chapters 2, 8, 9, 10, 18 tomorrow I am going to start some of the questions and notes.
It is a lot of reading/learning at a time but I would take breaks and walk around otherwise my butt get tired.
I am feeling overwhelmed/stressed because the test is within a month
