Interesting email from Business Week
I got my response back from Business Week,
Here is that response
Hi,
Thanks for getting in touch with us about the MBA Journals. We are all for diversity, and we would like to include the perspective of a student pursuing an online business program. Unfortunately, we’ve already chosen our next batch of MBA Journal writers and that format does not really lend itself to writing about online programs. I was hoping you’d be willing to start and maintain an MBA Blog on our site. It’s free and you would be your own editor, setting your own deadlines, choosing your own assignments, and editing all the copy yourself. I do, however, choose the best blog entries each week to feature in the business schools newsletter that we send to readers via e-mail. If you’re interested, here’s the link to the MBA Blogs homepage –http://www.mbablogs.businessweek.com/
If you have any questions about participating, feel free to get in touch with me. I’d be happy to help.
All the best,
Francesca

I have been thinking that I need to do a copy blog on Business Week, not always the same subjects but at least keep them tied together.
I have been considering that maybe MBA students need to work, not as executives but as the rank and file. I feel that most of the leadership, needs to know what it is like to work as a regular employee.
It is not hard to forget where you have came from when you never came from their.
I remember when I was in the military you couldn’t be a good supervisor and tell your men to do something that you weren’t willing to do yourself. Plus you needed to know what are you are telling them and to know how things work, before you can ask your soldiers too, without a good working knowledge your soldiers wouldn’t follow you.
I was talking with the Captain, that was piloting the aircraft to San Francisco, while we were waiting for the ATC hold to lift from Phoenix to San Francisco and both of our perceptions of upper management is they are lost, having no idea of what they are doing.
We have a President that has a Masters of Science degree with a emphasis on analytical. Great for numbers but not a creative enough mind to find creative ways to grow the company.
People say that numbers don’t lie, in their pure form it is true but when it comes to business and accounting. Numbers are like conspiracy theories you can get them to say anything you want them to say.
Just look at Enron.
