life
Busy day
I have tried to get up early, 7:30 am, to get busy doing things I need to get done today. First and foremost wash the truck and go to the gym.
Now as I am doing laundry for work tonight I will work more on my resume, and get things in order for tonight. I wonder if I will go any where.
It would be nice to be home for the next few days to work on homework and my motion to change my emotions (motion is emotion) at the same time work on my perpetual motion theory (the more you do the more you do) part anyway.
I would really like to write more but I need to hit the books
Hot day in Phoenix
Yes, it was only 109F today, but I have managed to stay cool most of the day.
After a bit by the pool, the water was great, then to the gym. I have spent the later part of the day getting ready for tomorrow, and working on school work.
I have to do a revised resume and a cover letter, and put it on Linkedin. Those are easy it is coming up with 6 exhibits of certificates, awards, letters of commendation, performance evaluations, papers, publications, pictures of things created, transcripts, licenses, presentations, conference material, etc.
Even that is ok, it is the 10-15 slide power point presentation summarizing the salient points of your career field, explaining the how and why you will be successful in your chosen career, and addressing each of the following competency areas;
Leading people and teams
Developing sustainable solutions
Serving customers
Managing products and services
Managing technology and innovation
Assessing the competitive environment
Planning for the future in the global marketplace
and to top it off a 15-20 minute digitally recorded video presentation that highlights my qualifications for the career path to the audience.
OK those are going to be a little tougher for me to crank out.
ONE, PowerPoint I know little about so I either mutter through it guessing or spend time reading the the book, either way I know I am at a disadvantage.
TWO, the video presentation that part is easy it is coming up with content and actually looking ok in the video.
But I will attempt my best this week to get as much done as possible on these projects. I guess I better start an out-line and work from there.
In between flying and recurrent, we will see how much time scheduling actually lets me have off, or how crazy they work me. That is always a guessing game.
Anyway, back to studying, laundry and getting ready for work, flying in the morning.
Hot Day in Detroit
I am sitting here in Detroit, actually Livonia at the Radisson. It is a nice quiet hotel, but I think that is just because business is slow.
The hotel lobby bar is just cool, retro sheik. They also have a great happy hour free tap beer and appetizers, a man on a budget dream.
It was a nice day, didn’t get much accomplished though, even with 29 hours there you have to sleep twice, which just cuts into everything.
But I got some good rest, and a little studying done so it was good.
Six Days of Working
Last night I spent with some friends enjoying the warm evenings here in Arizona.
I had got in from Boston early that morning and tried to go the gym, but was really tired so I only did cardio.
After taking a short nap I worked on my essays while I made phone calls to My dad, Herb, and Pavle wishing them a Happy Fathers Day.
I got most of the rough draft finished, I am hoping to get the definitions finished and career out look tonight and tomorrow in Charlotte.
I need to have this finished before Thursday, then finish out the last two essays.
Well I have to finish this up since I will be flying all night to Charlotte by way of San Diego.
Another Hot Day
It been another warm day here in Phoenix, trying to stay cool and keep the apartment around 83F degrees.
I have caught up with some things, still need to some more chores tonight before I get some sleep and fly tomorrow.
I am going to try and work on my essay later.
I am slowly be able to get things done in between working so much.
