I Been Working on my Essay all Day

We got in early from Charlotte, since we didn’t have to go to Philadelphia today. Our flights were cancelled because of the snow back east.

I heard that there was a lot of cancelations today by all the airlines, plus many more delays at airports across the NorthEast. I’m glad that I got to avoid it all. Our flight was easy filled mostly non-revs that couldn’t get on other flights.

After getting back here I went got my haircut then straight to the coffee shop to study.

9 hours later I am just about to start my first draft. I need to get this done tonight but I am tired. I have been up since 1:30 a.m. Phoenix time so my brain is getting a little dead.

I got put on Stand-by C tomorrow, so at least I have the morning to work on the essay.

It is now pushing Midnight so I guess I need to quit get some sleep and start fresh in the morning.

Now I am Stressed

I am sitting here in Charlotte, I have been working on the Horizontal and Vertical Analysis all afternoon, I have got it all done and put it in the excel spreadsheet.

I am worried about one part, it is about numbers that are negative, I know what it says but what it doesn’t cover is when the results are negative. So I guess I am going to have to call the professor tomorrow.

Now I also got the results from my first essay, I screwed up. I thought it was suppose to be 2-3 pages NOT 2-3 pages per prompt (i.e. 4 reasons why eBay uses stock options) so I am missing quite a few pages.

This is killer, because I now have 13 days to finish 2 1/2 essays and 1 revision.

I need help.

I also know I shouldn’t have been on this trip, but I need the money. I guess I should have done my vacations differently I should have studied more in January instead of working. Because my February vacation did turn out the way I would like with studying.

Also all those skillsoft modules did not help me with these essays.

Really I don’t know what to do I only have 3 days off till these are all due.

In Pittsburgh, with a Dilemma

I am here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, were it is cold to some people, 37F chance of snow. It looks nice from the window but not sure today would be a day I wanted to play in the snow.

But back to the dilemma, I need to work on my essays for school, but I also need to pick up more hours (money), So today do I go back to San Francisco or stay in Phoenix?

San Francisco, I could get some studying done, sleep in my own bed but use up a lot of hours just commuting back and forth or Phoenix where I could get some studying done, sleep at a friends on the couch and have all those extra hours I wouldn’t be commuting for studying.

It is tough, like I have said before I feel home lost.

I know that I need to get both things accomplished school and work, and this trip though it looks good and no early morning check-ins, I have only been able to exercise and get some studying done.

I tried last night but the internet here at this hotel in Pittsburgh reminds me of the good old days of dial-up, slower than slow.

I do like Pittsburgh, I like the view out the window, but I feel Pittsburgh is fading like Detroit, because the corporations have moved out leaving the cities and people to fend for themselves.

Sad there is so much Rich American History in both places.

Time to finish getting ready and fly to Phoenix. I’ll let you know what happens.

So I opted to stay in Phoenix, I picked up a trip that reports at 5:40 a.m. in Phoenix which means getting up Thursday morning at 3:00 a.m. OUCH!!!

So flying home last night just to have to fly back this afternoon would have been hard, and long hours. Staying in Phoenix, my friends are great and even though I always sleep it not a good sleep.

But I am thankful

It is Cold here in Philadelphia

So after arriving here in Philadelphia, it is cold too cold. We had to wait for the van for almost 1 hour it is always that way here. Terrible.

It is funny you have 24 hours here but with the travel time (waiting for the vans) and having to sleep twice in those 24 hours really starts cutting into the time you have.

After exercising I wanted food but the grocery store is to far, so I opted for the convenience store and got some fresh orange juice and a hot dog. The orange juice is on in my window ledge refrigerator, it will stay cold enough, hope it don’t freeze.

I have been able to do a little studying but it is starting to get late and I need to get read for tomorrow. Such the glamorous life.

The last few days have been a strange eye opening, because I haven’t been doing much. I got into San Francisco on Tuesday the 5th of January. As I wrote in the other post I feel home lost. It was so nice to be in my own space not worrying about where I am at, who’s house, walking on eggshells, or being in a hotel room.

I have as some call it nesting, for me it was more about decompressing. Even though I feel better there are things that I am not sure about, so I need to see what happens

I do know that I need to get school finished, I have to, I don’t have a choice.

I know you always have a choice in life, but with this that is my choice. That I have to do this, finish move up.

I like working in the airline industry but the travelers are such a pain. So many people have no concept of politeness, or courtesy when it comes to others. They only think about themselves and really don’t understand that they are in an airplane with 18o other passengers.

Maybe I just need a vacation, since I haven’t had one in 2 years.

On Call while studying

I got in yesterday from Chicago, such a big change in weather from there to Phoenix. No snow or weather delays due to snow, and you can walk around without a jacket.

After getting in changing clothes I went to go see Up in the Air, starring George Clooney  as Ryan Bingham and Vera Farmiga as Alex Goran. It was a very good, entertaining movie, funny how we can see ourselves in characters positions from the movie.

I have been to almost all the same hotels as Ryan, traveled through the same airports. Though I don’t get the frequent flyer miles from any airline or hotel and other rewards offered by companies. I have felt what Ryan experiences of living out of my roller board.

Near the end Ryan get an award, one few people ever get because of the amount of commitment it requires.

The chemistry between Ryan and Alex (George and Vera), very real, very together with an interesting twist.

You can say I enjoyed it very much.

Afterward a quick bite at In-n-Out Burger, back to my friends house, where they all were sleeping. Thank God for them, and God bless them for letting me stay at there home. I really don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t stay there. I know as of this time I could not afford to pay for living in 2 cities at the same time.

So my heart felt thanks to them and all that they have done for me.

All was quiet in the house so I watched Hulu, where you can see movies and television shows online for free. I watched a really good Japanese Animation called “Vexille: 2077 Isolation of Japan” About a company inventing to powerful of a robot to use for their own unjust means.

Today I have been sitting here, studying Accounting a waiting to see if scheduling gives me a trip for today or tomorrow. Glad to see that most of the country has recovered somewhat from all the snow. That airlines flights are back to normal so people who wish to go home for the Holidays will be able too.

I have Christmas off, I am hoping that I will be able to go home early on the 24th relax before I have to fly back on the 26th to go to Anchorage, Alaska.

For the rest of the day I will be studying Accounting (I know my brain is going to hurt), check the news and wait 4 more hours to see if scheduling sends me anywhere.
