I needed to finish my CBT (computer based training) for work since I have been blowing it off to get my home work for my MBA done. Though I know work is important, school is more important to me and getting the classes done.

Now that I am on the last class, I feel more secure and less stressed. Studying and figuring out analysis is somewhat more what I can handle I just have to buckle down.

I was checking out my g.p.a., even though Western Governors University doesn’t grade on g.p.a.’s. It is 3.6, I wish that it could be higher but unfortunately being pulled in many directions at once has caused lees than 100%.

So I am hoping for a strong finish, I also have to study and know..

epub, XHTML, HTML, CSS, C+, InDesign and of course Microsoft Office. I have till the end of the year, that is when my semester is up. So if I get the last class for my MBA finished in August I have 4 extra months to use to hone some more of my skills.

Make myself more desirable to employers.

So on that note, I am going to get things ready for tomorrow and do some reading of my new ePub book I just brought named “ePub Straight to the Point” written by Liz Castro, I am reading her other book “XHTML, HTML, and CSS” sixth edition.

Both of her books are helping me to get where I want to be.

I am more happy with the way my resume and cover letter turned out they got quite good remarks.

I have to say there have been some tough classes, especially with some of these trying months I have had to work with.

I have to have a plan of a attack to knock this last class out by the end of August.

I also have to write about this last month, so with out anymore I need to get some rest and start fresh in the morning here in Ontario, CA

After a bit by the pool, the water was great, then to the gym. I have spent the later part of the day getting ready for tomorrow, and working on school work.

I have to do a revised resume and a cover letter, and put it on Linkedin. Those are easy it is coming up with 6 exhibits of certificates, awards, letters of commendation, performance evaluations, papers, publications, pictures of things created, transcripts, licenses, presentations, conference material, etc.

Even that is ok, it is the 10-15 slide power point presentation summarizing the salient points of your career field, explaining the how and why you will be successful in your chosen career, and addressing each of the following competency areas;

Leading people and teams

Developing sustainable solutions

Serving customers

Managing products and services

Managing technology and innovation

Assessing the competitive environment

Planning for the future in the global marketplace

and to top it off a 15-20 minute digitally recorded video presentation that highlights my qualifications for the career path to the audience.

OK those are going to be a little tougher for me to crank out.

ONE, PowerPoint I know little about so I either mutter through it guessing or spend time reading the the book, either way I know I am at a disadvantage.

TWO, the video presentation that part is easy it is coming up with content and actually looking ok in the video.

But I will attempt my best this week to get as much done as possible on these projects. I guess I better start an out-line and work from there.

In between flying and recurrent, we will see how much time scheduling actually lets me have off, or how crazy they work me. That is always a guessing game.

Anyway, back to studying, laundry and getting ready for work, flying in the morning.

I need to sit down and make a plan of action to get this finished these classes, I also have to call Financial Aid tomorrow and see what is up with my paperwork. Get my ducks in a row.

Tomorrow they have me going to Detroit with 30 hours there so I am going to try and see a few people, some studying, and of course exercise.

Which that has been part of the changes that have happened lately, I have to get over that hump of commitment (life style change). I am hoping that muscle memory comes back quickly to get me near to back where I was years ago.

A lot of things in my life are having to go back to basics.

On a different note, I really don’t like sitting here at the airport, I would discuss about it but is better if I don’t.

I was able to get some rest this morning before I went a good 6.5 mile walk. It is a interesting walk, because it goes through 2 hospital areas, 1 college and lots of beautiful homes, huge! With lots greenery, trees, flowers, and other garden variety of plants.

I do like the walk, to me it is better than doing cardio, a lot fresher, and more enjoyable. I probably will feel it in the morning.

Then back to the hotel to work on my essay, I have gotten a fair amount done, I am going to work on it some more later before I have to sleep.

I did find out that I got a 4.0 out of 4.0 on the essay I just turned in, which was actually the 4th essay. But I am happy that it turned out well. I feel that I will have this essay done by Thursday.
