Yeah, 1 essay complete

Yes, I know I have been sitting here for 2 day studying and I should have wrote something yesterday informing all my fans of my pain/pleasure.

Yesterday, I must have read through 300 pages of downloads concerning ESO (employee stock options), footnote disclosure verse financial recognition, and why companies like to give stock options as forms of compensation. My head was swimming is an accountants nightmare.

But I mustered up finished those plus a few other chores that need to get done, you know life still goes on. Just because I am in school, life  doesn’t stop though I would like it to. So I ended up getting to sleep around 2:00 a.m.

You would think that I would be able to crank out these essays, the great writer that I am. I have been working all day, well not quite I have taken time for chores, a nice afternoon walk (to clear my head) and food of course (fuel for the brain).

It is after 11:00 p.m. and the first essay complete, but I will wait till the morning to submit it, I like to have down time, to read it one last time for corrections before sending it off. I have learned that staring at something for hours upon hours, everything blends. Downtime, away from the essay give my brain time to process what I have been writing and to see any mistakes.

But I am happy I just need all day tomorrow, to finish the next essay I am hoping scheduling just assigns me a evening 4 day trip on Saturday.

So me, my trusty MacBook Pro and my endless music can crank out another essay.

Needless to say I still have chore left to do tonight, and many in the morning in preparation for leaving to commute into Phoenix. If I have to go in I am not going till the 3:35 p.m. of the 5:15 p.m. flight, I already have enough stress trying to invade my life I don’t need self inflicted stress too.

Tonight I met a fellow WGU student Lee, actually him found me through the web, a MBA student also a class behind me, but none the less someone with the same dreams. Finish your MBA, at the same time that you are working a full-time job.

I wish him the best, and hope to say in touch.

So I am getting tired and have many things I need to finish, tonight and tomorrow.

I will talk with you in a few hours let see what LUCK the White Tiger brings me.

Day 8 Incredible

Yes it has been 8 days since my last good serious post, instead of tidbits of information. I mostly haven’t posted because I have been crazy with listening to these Skillsoft lessons made by Wharton School of Business.

I am writing now because I should and the Skillsoft lessons took a dump, it always has been stopping, like most university or programs for universities it is built on old technology. Pearsons says you need to use Internet Explore 6.0, come on, that is so out dated.

So I was surprise to read that Pearson has announced an iPad reader app

http://www.maclife.com/article/news/pearson_launches_first_iphoneipad_reader_apps

which is good because what they have now is just doesn’t cut it in the world of online education.

Also all these publishers need to get a clue about charging $110.00 for an online digital copy of a text book.

As I have been doing homework trying to finish this class, I have signed up for the Apple iPhone and iPad developers SDK. I got some great ideas, that maybe I can make an app out of.

So I am going to get some sleep I have tomorrow to be able to really get some work done.

It is Cold here in Philadelphia

So after arriving here in Philadelphia, it is cold too cold. We had to wait for the van for almost 1 hour it is always that way here. Terrible.

It is funny you have 24 hours here but with the travel time (waiting for the vans) and having to sleep twice in those 24 hours really starts cutting into the time you have.

After exercising I wanted food but the grocery store is to far, so I opted for the convenience store and got some fresh orange juice and a hot dog. The orange juice is on in my window ledge refrigerator, it will stay cold enough, hope it don’t freeze.

I have been able to do a little studying but it is starting to get late and I need to get read for tomorrow. Such the glamorous life.

The last few days have been a strange eye opening, because I haven’t been doing much. I got into San Francisco on Tuesday the 5th of January. As I wrote in the other post I feel home lost. It was so nice to be in my own space not worrying about where I am at, who’s house, walking on eggshells, or being in a hotel room.

I have as some call it nesting, for me it was more about decompressing. Even though I feel better there are things that I am not sure about, so I need to see what happens

I do know that I need to get school finished, I have to, I don’t have a choice.

I know you always have a choice in life, but with this that is my choice. That I have to do this, finish move up.

I like working in the airline industry but the travelers are such a pain. So many people have no concept of politeness, or courtesy when it comes to others. They only think about themselves and really don’t understand that they are in an airplane with 18o other passengers.

Maybe I just need a vacation, since I haven’t had one in 2 years.

Across the Country in Day

A friend yesterday asked if I wanted her Philadelphia turn for Saturday. I needed the hours and of course said yes. It would be almost 13 hours at the airport, with 10 hours of flying. Long day good pay.

I was looking for a trip and the only thing I would have been able to pick-up would have been a 2 day with 4 legs. not promising, and no way to study.

So I jumped at the chance to get the hours in one day instead of two, bummer that I won’t be able to get home rest, be with Mari, and get some studying in, there are no flight out of Phoenix after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday except Philadelphia and Charlotte  both near 11:00 p.m.

I was a long day after only getting 4 hours sleep. The people were mostly nice, and the flights went smooth except for the man that thru-up in the first class against the cockpit door and all over the bathroom.

What a mess……..

I got to glance at the WSJ and I was reading about the insider trading arrest, amazing I am hoping to find time to read more.

But the key arrest was Raj Rajaratnam, was an MBA graduate from University of Philadelphia (Wharton)

I need to find some time to read more

After getting back into Phoenix I went to my friends house and study till 7 hours (into the wee hours)

It is getting closer and I feel behind.

Across the Street from University of Pennsylvania (Wharton)

I always like this layover. After arriving this morning at 5:30 a.m. We came to our hotel across the street from the University of Pennsylvania. I got a room with a view facing the University, so cool.

Got some rest this morning, headed off the the grocery store down the street for some good food. Headed back to the hotel to study and work on my notes.

It is now 10 hours later and I need to stop for the night. I am tired, and need to rest.

It is funny I have been studying all day, and don’t even have a clue as to what has happen in the news today.

I’ll be back tomorrow night after flying from Philadelphia to Las Vegas and back to Philadelphia a good 13 hours of airports and airplanes.
